The Group has been operating since 2001 in variable make-up. Its participants include university students, less often high-school student and young people who have completed their studies. These are the very people, to whom this program is addressed. The main theme is counteracting anti-Semitism and xenophobia. This includes an internet campaign against the parties of hatred and organizing open and public ceremonies (e.g. installations, meetings and lectures associated with multi-cultural issues). The objective is to recognize minorities living in Poland, to gain experience in the art of dialogue and finally to practice and disseminate remembrance of those sentenced to annihilation. Hence, the particular importance of contact with Jewish culture, on which Viridarium has so far focused its attention.
The program has its own dedicated website: http://www.wirydarz.org
