The program has been in operation since 1993, when Tenzin Gjaco, the XIV Dalai Lama of Tibet, visited Poland at the invitation of the Foundation and the members of the Helsinki Committee.
The program's main goal is to collect, analyze and convey information on the situation in Tibet. Private entities - mainly journalists and students - as well as institutions: nongovernmental organizations, parliamentary committees, government agencies etc. - benefit from it. The Foundation also strives to undertake activities that could help find a peaceful solution to Tibet's problem and guarantee the observance of the fundamental rights of Tibetans.
