The International Summer School on Human Rights is organized annually since the year 1990. It is intended for nongovernmental organization activists, journalists and public officials from former socialist countries of Central and Eastern Europe as well as Central Asia (including Poland) dealing with human rights protection. Each edition of the school lasts 8 days. 60-70 people take part in it. The school's program consists of lectures and practical training covering the history and philosophy of human rights, fundamental human rights terms, internal and international systems of human rights protection and selected rights. The school's working languages are English and Russian. Recruitment for the school is announced on the HFHR website in December of the year preceding the next edition of the school.
