We are an organisation established in 1989 by the members of the Helsinki Committee in Poland.
Our mission is - the development of the human liberties and rights culture, both domestically and abroad.
Since 2007 we have Consultative Status with the United Nation's Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Polish Press Agency about "Getting Acquainted - Diversity, Understanding, Openness" project
Warsaw, Sept. 27: Tolerance towards aliens is in the centrepoint of "Getting Acquainted - Diversity, Understanding, Openness", a tolerance-promoting project launched Thursday in Warsaw by the British Embassy.

British charge d'affairs Patrick Davies said the project would promote the positive sides of multicultural society.
The project, co-organized by the Helsinki Human Rights Foundation, will among others offer workshops for journalists and school youth, competitions and interviews with Polish-resident foreigners.
Migration to Poland began 17 years ago, today Poland is for many an attractive place where they can find work, said professor Irena Rzeplinska from the Helsinki Foundation.
Poland's biggest immigrant groups are Vietnamese, Armenians, Belarussians, Ukrainians and Africans. (mb)
