Our layers will also assist in administrative tasks (e.g. filling in application forms; contact with government departments and other institutions or natural persons – e.g. employers) Information package: Navigating Poland. Helpful information for third countries nationals helps migrants in coping alone with problems of legal and administrative character or challenges set by Polish bureaucracy. It includes information with respect to all key matters, indispensible for migrants in their integration process: work, education and health care in Poland. The vital section of this package refers to civic knowledge. It contains various information needed to enjoy full public rights in Poland (e.g. the functioning of courts in Poland; what to do when one becomes a crime-victim; how to defend oneself against discrimination; how to refer to the institutions such as Human Rights Defender or National Work Inspection Agency; or religion – related matters; and far more). The contents of the package has been chosen on the basis of data and experience collected to date by Legal Assistance to Refugees and migrants’ programme, or gathered while providing legal advice to migrants, as well as from knowledge gained during the realization of other projects. The package has been issued in 6 languages: Ukrainian, English, Russian; Vietnamese, Chinese; and Polish. Its publication was followed by a promotional conference that took place on 16th December 2009. The main topics were: the revision of the actions undertaken in recent years for a better integration of third-countries nationals, diagnosis of the current situation and discussion on the future of the actions. Among the guests there were government officials; academic experts; experts from non-governmental organizations, journalists and Migrant Representatives. The publication: Navigating Poland. Helpful information for third countries nationals is available on our website.
